They call him: ‘the living Google’, he can recall some 12,000 books from memory!!!!
Kim Peek , is a savant with a photographic or eidetic memory and developmental disabilities, resulting from congenital brain abnormalities. He was the inspiration for the character of Raymond Babbit, played by Dustin Hoffman, in the movie Rain Man. The real life ‘Rain Man’ has an incredible capacity for receiving and storing information. Kim Peek can read two pages of a book at a time, retaining about 98 percent of what he read afterwards. He is also knowledgable in more than a dozen different subjects, from world and American history to sports to telephone area codes and major zip codes. Peek, who is autistic, was born without a corpus callosum — the connecting tissue between the left and right sides of the brain.
