Perhaps any inspiring musicians or actor and actress can learn from the wisdom of this boy. “You don’t have to be a good-looking man or woman to succeed. Just be yourself and try your best.”
Do you ever let your look stop you for reaching your dream and goal in this life?
Lin Yu-chun. Lin was a part time shop worker who shot to fame via his rendition of the song “I Will Always Love You” — the Dolly Parton song made famous by Whitney Houston — became a sensation on Youtube in April. Since then, he’s been compared to Britain’s Susan Boyle, the plain-looking 48-year-old who shot to stardom after singing “I Dreamed a Dream” on “Britain’s Got Talent.”
Just like Susan Boyle, Lin Yu Chun did not let his look to determine his fate. Lin, who says he sings to escape the pain of fat jokes such as “Little Fatty”, has inked a major label deal with Sony Music to record an album of Chinese and English songs, set to be released in July,2010.

“I can’t believe this is real,” Lin says. His viral success has given him more confidence in the way he looks despite being teased as a child.

Lin who is only 24 years old will be joining the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Susan Boyle and Paul Potts, who all became famous by television shows and then signed to Sony Music after winning their respective shows.
