It is no wonder that Ian Norbury should work with wood, a raw material that is so tactile, warm and sensual. It can also be hard and unforgiving, but with Ian this is a true union of man and material, the one complementing the other to the greatest possible effect.
a facebook friend on mine : As a child growing up in northern New Jersey, Larry Carlson spent a lot of time drawing and began to keep a sketchbook at an early age. His artist’s attention has always been captivated by both nature and technology.

The Garden Of Eros
IT is full summer now, the heart of June,
Not yet the sun-burnt reapers are a-stir
Upon the upland meadow where too soon
Rich autumn time, the season’s usurer,
Will lend his hoarded gold to all the trees,
And see his treasure scattered by the wild and spendthrift breeze.
Sensual, and almost sinister at the same time…

Impressing clip… so beautiful … Andy Huang is a student? Looks like he should be the teacher. Somebody hire him, quick! His animation is perfectly convincing, the sound effects are first-rate, the editing and compositing are smoother than a baby’s butt, and the social commentary is ironic bordering on profound. Outstanding work.

“In Bed” is an interactive installation by Drew Burrows. Alberto Seveso is a graphic designer and illustrator. His work is the product of a skillful electronic manipulation of photographs- some he’s taken, some he’s gotten from other photographers, and some he’s bought. Seveso uses the computer to deconstruct the bodies in the photographs into something entirely different, yet he still captures the form, the [...]

Donatello (1386-1466) left behind him so much work through the world that it may rightly be asserted that no artist worked so hard as he.” He set his hand, adds Vasari, to everything, and an epitaph praises him for having done “alone today all that with a skilful hand numbers had once done for sculpture.”

Wim Vandekeybus evokes a dramatic effect by juxtaposing plastic movement, music and scenography. Thus, according to one critic, the performance entitled What the Body Does Not Remember (1987) was distinguished by “a brutal conflict of dance and music, by a bellicose, aggressive landscape, which showed what the body really did not remember”.

“I created this series of canvases using ancient Chinese painting as a model. Each piece is composed using ancestral techniques.” However, as one approaches the work it becomes evident that Li’s content is contemporary. The blacks, whites and browns traditionally used give way to a modern palate – an allegory for the influences of western [...]

The art of Dirk Westphal will appeal to a large audience, his work is detailed, shows accessible scenery and is near technical perfection. This doesn’t mean his work is superficial. It’s quite layered and some images, especially his drawn collages, are revealing eroticism from a very personal perspective.

Greta Buysse loves mise en scène, accumulating and associating, a hint of Baroque, tension, retro. The art of Ted Fusby is clearly intended for a gay audience, it contains mainly male nudes and gay erotic scenes. Most of his work displays the male form in an exaggerated, nearly cartoonish way, combined with a quite tactile approach of the used media.
