there’s a sense of quality that we’re looking for in the material that we select. It’s kind of impossible to describe but you know it when you see it—when you come across something that has an aura about it, a certain power that lasts over time. Like a really nice guitar riff or something that pulls you in and has the ability to connect to other things in many different ways. So the boundaries are just keeping a sense of what that is and maintaining an integrity within the music that allows that quality to come forward in a clear way. Other than that, stylistically, I don’t think that there are a lot of boundaries in the way that we think about it. We’re sort of stuck within our own aesthetic. It’s not really considered, it is just what we do.
