Years ago, me and my friends, we made a circusshow. It was a ‘melange’ of dance, acrobat, live music and our self made 5.1 soundscape. We enjoyed it very much and played the show for more than 50.000 people… Of course the life and comfort we had during the making of is nothing comparing with the life Quintana shows us in her marvellous photo gallery… For CIRCUS, Quintana has spent over 8 years following and photographing the circus, earning the trust and respect of her subjects. Her photographs are not flash-frozen images but a loving history of an extended family, of another way of living in the world.
